To Make Beautiful Contour

What face shape do I have?

The face shape is broken down into three parts. The forehead and cheekbone width, the jawline and the face length. To identify your face shape ask yourself, what is the widest part of my face? Is it my cheekbones? You probably have a round face. Is it my forehead?

Finally, check out the length of your face. Rounder faces are typically on the shorter side and oval faces are usually on the longer side.

Most of us fall predominantly into one category or another, but it's totally possible to have characteristics of more than one face shape!

Sure, knowing your face shape is fun and all, but does it actually serve a purpose?

Knowing your face shape can be very helpful. It can help you decide life’s toughest questions like which haircut is most flattering on me? Which makeup will make me look most natural? And it just might be the answer to finding your favorite pair of glasses.

If there’s one makeup trend that’s quite literally defined , it’s contouring.  you can create the illusion of a slimmer, more chiseled face. Contouring is all about using shade and light in different areas to sculpt your face, and depending on your unique face shape, you can use contouring in different areas to fake a different face shape. For example, if you have a long face shape you should contour in completely different places to someone who might have a round face.

While there’s no perfect face shape (it would be a pretty boring world if there was), if you do want to slim or manipulate the shape your face, this ultimate guide to contouring your face shape will give you the same clever sculpting knowledge as any makeup artist.

how to figure your face shape , this picture can it help to know it
oval face shape , Square face shape ,heart face shape , round face shape , long face shape .

Step 1: Map your face
two stick foundations, Trace the temples. If you have a larger forehead, carry straight into the hairline to minimize it , To bring out your cheekbones, find the hollow part by placing your fingers on the sides of your face, and where you feel it dip underneath the bones, just above is where you place your pigment. With the nose, you can go a little bit narrower at the tip or you can carry it into the brow if you have a shorter nose to add length or width.

Step 2: Blend it
Take a damp beautyblender and tap over the area of the contour color, merging it into your base foundation. Tap in small circular motions using the bigger, rounded end of the beautyblender because it has more space. But for details like the sides of the nose, I flatten it and squeeze it into my hands.

Step 3: Get lit
Concentrate the lighter foundation stick underneath your eyes, If you want to go crazy you can do a little bit in the center of the forehead and on the chin, and the bridge of the nose. Blend any excess product with a damp beautyblender.

Step 4: Dust it
With a fluffy brush, dust the entire face with loose powder."Translucent is best for securing a cream foundation.

 Basic tools For Contouring

1. Foundation Brush :

Synthetic brushes usually give me the best application for foundation. The first step to any level of makeup perfection when it comes to your face is always a great base layer . Foundation that works with your skin is worth the investment.

2. Beauty Blender:

Once you've applied your foundation, blending is key. Nichols likes to use the mini beauty blenders, because they give her "a little more control over blending than the larger version." Used to blend foundation and concealer, Nichols says these marvels are perfect for diminishing the visibility of circles under your eyes.

3. Contour Brush:
When you contour, you use a both a bronzer and a highlighter, and a double ended brush is perfect for the job , adding that it's a great way to get two tools in one. To use the tool properly, she recommends using the larger ends on the forehead, nose, and cheeks, and the smaller end for more detailed areas, "like your brows and under your eyes.

4.  Powder Brush :
Too much powder can make or break your look . That's why she loves this light coverage brush by Dior. It's made of natural hair, and is perfect for loose setting powders.
